Customer Review: Great Kitchen Timer - setting it is so fast!

This is a great kitchen timer. When I'm cooking I often need to set the timer quickly so I can move onto stirring something or other meal prep. I like that this has number buttons so you dont have to push up and down arrows - which wastes valuable time.
You just type in the numbers on this timer. For 10 minutes, you would only need to push "1" and then it puts the 1 on the left, and since you didn't enter the next 3 digits, it is now set at 10:00 minutes and you hit start. It's very important to me that a timer be very quick to set, and this one is.
The magnet works pretty well, we keep it above the stove and it's never fallen off into anything.
The beep is nice and loud, and I can hear it anywhere in my apartment, even with the TV or music on.
We've been using it for 3 months now and it's still working great. Have had to replace the battery yet, but I like that it's a AAA battery so when the time comes it wont be hard to replace.

I use a LOT of timers. This is the only one, at this point, where I've bought a second one. I still have a couple of those "antique" timers, where you have to stand there for 2 days holding down the button to get to the time you're wanting to set it for. But I have them side-by-side in my kitchen and bathroom areas with this timer. The older ones, I leave pre-set on 30 minutes, 20 minutes, an hour, etc., so I can quickly push the button on those for routine rituals and such. I usually have multiple things going on, and with ADD, timers going off is a common sound in my home :) So when the pre-set timers are in progress, I use this timer for quickly entering whatever odd amount of time I'm wanting, 3 minutes, 8 minutes, 33 minutes :) ... "Quickly" being key, which the keypad makes possible. Excellent timer. But I admit, my system with using it along with the older ones pre-set, works great!Customer Review: Great timer

We have had our Sunbeam timer for a couple years and think it is great. It gets a lot of use in our house as a kitchen timer, piano practice timer, reading timer, etc. and still works great. If you use the magnet rather than setting it down on a surface, it does stick out quite a bit... but that has not been a problem for us. As for not having a on/off switch, most digital timers do not have one and do not need one as they use little battery power. We own three different timers and none of them have an on/off switch. They all get used quite a bit, and I cannot even remember the last time I had to change the batteries.Customer Review: Excellent cooking timere

This Sunbeam timer replaced one we had for several years and loved. This one is very good and has larger digits. We use the magnetic strip on the back to keep it on the refrigerator door.
The bad news is that the magnet is not as strong as in the last version and we have had to tape it to the door.
One very good point is that it chirps about 20 times when the time is up which gets you going to shut it off and take care of what you were timing.

The display is large enough to read from a distance and alarm's volume is okay too
All in all is seems to be a good buy, and good value for money
