It's cheap, loud and it counts up and down. That's pretty much what I expect from a kitchen timer.
I like that it counts up as well as down
The magnet could be stronger - it barely holds on the fridge, and it can't be used to hold anything heavier than a small piece of paper.
It's really loud, and it uses the same beep to announce that you hit a key. In a perfect world, it would have a quiet beep for hitting a key and a loud beep for alerts.
I recommend it as a simple timer.

As many people have pointed out this timer does not have an off switch. It really doesn't need one as the drain on the batteries for the display is minimal. Its accurate, loud, very easy to use, and the price is right. The only minor complaint is that the magnetic holder is a little wiggly on a metal surface. ..but not ecstatic with the purchase. On the plus side, it works well - counts down and also up, which turned out to be a bonus for me. It has a magnet/clip/stand at the back, which makes it easy to use it wherever.
On the flip side, there's now way to turn it off and looks all plastic-y!

Over all I am pleased with this product. We use them at my work and work well. I did purchase 7 of them but did not know there was a special- buy 3 get 1 free or i would have purched 8 or i should have gotten the 8th one free anyway. This timer is easy to use. Big display is easy to read. Can sit on the table, clip on someting or attach to a metal surface with magnet. The only thing I don't like is the weak magnet. If you opeate the timer while it is attach via magetic it will fall out.
