Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Sunbeam, 91647, Digital Refrigerator/Freezer Thermometer, WhiteCustomer Review: Just OK Thermometer Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this thermometer to track the high-low temperatures in my freezer. But it does not have a Max/Min reset button. To reset you must open the back and remove the battery and reinsert the battery. This is not easy to do; it is hard to do as the very small button battery has a clip on it.
Therefore, I will/can only use it as a digital thermometer.
Customer Review: Not accurate at lower temps Summary: 1 Stars
I recently purchased a thermoelectric refrigerator, primarily for sodas in my office. As my food keeps disappearing from the communal fridge, I wanted to see if the thermoelectric fridge would stay cold enough to safely store meat and dairy products during the work week. Hence, the need for a thermometer.
The lowest reading this thermometer has logged is 54 degrees in the week I have had it in my fridge. Since the sodas felt cold, I wanted some way to double check the reading of this thermometer. Out came a soda, in went my travel alarm clock with a temperature gauge. The travel alarm and this thermometer display a 10+ degree difference when placed in the mini fridge side by side overnight. Side by side on my desk, the thermometers are almost in sync at 77 degrees (yes, my office is on the warm side, hence the desire for a mini fridge)
This thermometer may be accurate at higher temperatures, but is unreliable at thermoelectric fridge temperatures (per travel alarm, that's 44 degrees).
Customer Review: save your money Summary: 1 Stars
If you only need to know the temp within 6 degrees this is for you.
If you want to know the REAL temp spend your money on something else.
This is the worst product I've ever gotten from Amazon.
