Taylor, well-known for its precision household and industrial kitchen thermometers, packs the model 1471 with all kinds of features. The thermometer/timer counts down from 99 minutes 59 seconds, features a backlit LCD for night-time use, automatically records maximum and minimum temperatures, and works within a wide range: -32 to 212 degrees F (0 to 100 degrees C). In addition to the clip, a stand and magnet allow varied positioning. Two AA batteries are required (not included), and an on/off button saves power.
