I bought this in early May 2008 and it is still working fine for me. It is left outdoors on my grill so it is not pampered. We grill quite often here is West Texas also so it has been used quite a bit. I bought it despite the number of bad reviews figuring that all I could lose was $10. I guess I've been lucky with it but it is just what I need and I'll purchase another one if this one "dies".
