I have owned this candy thermometer for over 30 years.. I use it, mostly around Christmas time, and can count on it's accuracy and ease of use. It is easy to clean and easy to attach to any sauce pan. Like any fragile product, keep it in a safe place and you will have it for a lifetime.Customer Review: Big!

It was bigger than I was expecting, but that turned out to be a good thing! It can be used on the largest of pots. The ball of the thermometer sits very low and is protected from hitting the bottom of your pan, so it can also be used for very small amounts of liquid. I purchased this thermometer to replace the one my mother (who has always loved to make candy) has used for the last 40 years. It was the same thermometer. Haven't used it for candy yet, but for deep fat frying side it does the job. Made donuts with it and had a couple batches without that over-browned look that too hot oil gives with most thermometers.
