This thermometer works fine. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because although the stem is stainless steel, the face is plastic and feels really cheap.Customer Review: Excellent accessory

I recently got a new cappuccino maker and bought the frothing thermometer to be sure I was frothing the milk right. It's a simple and effective tool. The dial shows the optimal frothing temperature range and the clip keeps it from wandering around the frothing pitcher while you're steaming the milk. This is a quality product, fairly priced, easy to use. Note: in an earlier review, I suggested a thermometer may not be necessary if you have a lot of experience making cappuccino. I now think it is necessary, to prevent scalding the milk.Customer Review: Very Good!

The thermometer clips conveniently to the frothing pitcher and reacts almost instantly to the temperature of the milk. It's not easy to know just where and at what angle to clip it so you'll be able to see the dial while you're frothing. But very good nontheless!
