I'm not sure why others have given this little timer such poor reviews. I have owned 3 of these timers and have liked each one. I'm now purchasing 2 more. I use one in my classroom, use one for baking at home and my daugher uses one for timing her homework, husband uses one for timing while he grills. There are so many uses and many, many times I've had more than one going at a time to time various foods that are cooking but need different timers (which is why I'm ordering more). I have NEVER had any problems with these timers and I've dropped them on the floor alot too. The magnet is strong and it doesn't spin on my frig. I love it's size since I can put it in my pocket while I'm doing other things and waiting for the timer to go off. Personally I like the fact that it resets itself to the previous time, this is very handy when grilling and a feature that my family uses constantly.
All in all this is a very nice little timer. Basic, easy to use, and holds up well.

I owned this timer for several years and it worked very well and keeps accurate times, unlike the turn-the-dial types.
The best things about it are the magnet and the clip. I am easily distracted and forgetful, so having a magnet on the back meant I could always stick it on the fridge so it wouldn't get lost. I used the clip constantly because I would put something in the oven or put a load of laundry in the washer, go off to do something else and forget about it. When I got this timer, I would set it for the food or laundry and clip it to my pants pocket, so no matter what I am doing, it will go off and remind me that, yes, I've got cookies in the oven or laundry getting wrinkly in the dryer.
It's cheap, useful, and helps you multitask. I love it so much I'm buying it a second time (the first one disappeared in a move).

I have used two of these timers for four years, and they are the best I have ever owned. It is simple to use: the buttons are a good size and far enough apart that fingers don't fumble, and the buttons click upon pressing so that you know your choice registered. The operation is so simple that my daughter was using it at the age of six to time her teeth-brushing. This timer is durable, too: not only has each of my two timers lasted four years but recently one of them fell into a sinkful of water and survived! I immediately fished it out of the water, removed the back panel, took out the battery, and put the body of the timer in a closed container of silica gel, a dessicant. (I hear that uncooked rice works, too.). After a week, I put the battery back in, and the timer was working just fine! I lost my previous timer and didn't exercise that day. I had been exercising for nearly three years (except for sickness). After several more days, I had to have another.
I mix up my cardio, but want a minimum of 30 minutes. With the timer, I can set it for the 30 minutes, then it beeps when I reach my goal. Or I can leave it at 0, start it and work out.
I like the large digits. I can see it without having to stop (my work out). I don't think I can ever do without it. And it's not a complicated piece, just three buttons, clearly marked, and a two-button combination to clear. Nothing else to learn.
My timer also helps me to slow down my Weight Training routine (for maximum benefit). Besides exercise, I use it to push myself to do other chores I don't care for. I really this timer.

This is my review on the Taylor Digital Minute/Second Timer.
I purchased it to have an audible signal to let me know when to stop my workouts. It is very convenient in that it has a magnet on the back and you can attach it to any metal area or you can extend the back clip so it stands on its own on any counter top or you can clip it to your belt or shirt pocket. When you need to know exactly how long or when you only need to count down to so many minutes or seconds, then this is a great product for you. It comes with its own AAA battery and has a big digital readout. I hope this helps to make a decision for you.
