Customer Review: Useless!!

When I opened the box and picked up the timer's package, the timer fell out! The package was already open! I don't know if Amazon just shipped me someone's reject or if the glue holding the package together just gave way. I wound up the timer for a couple of minutes, and as expected it tick-tick-ticked down in that classic old timer way. However, when it reached zero.. nothing happened. I turned it up again and tick-tick-tick ... nothing. No ring! Based on all the other 1-star reviews, I won't even bother exchanging this. I'm just going to get my money back.

Classic Large Number Timer
Most ovens these days come with a built-in timer, but not all of them are loud enough to hear from another part of the house. With this portable timer, cooks won't be bound to the kitchen while brownies bake or a vegetable pot pie cooks. This simple timer has a mechanical pointer that winds around the face to count down anywhere from 1 to 60 minutes. The instrument ticks while in use and, when time is up, it sounds a long (about 5 seconds) and loud ring that can be heard while running the shower or over the noise of the clothes dryer. Cooking aside, this gadget is also great for setting time-outs for toddlers. (When the timer rings, kids can come out of their rooms or chairs.) This timer has a large face with easy-to-read numbers and Taylor ensures complete accuracy in its readings through a one-year limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde
