I picked this one because it was easy to read, can hang on the rack, or place on the rack.
The only thing bad about it was it can break easily if you are not careful. I broke the first one I received because I was baking many items and it got push off or smashed in the oven by the pans. It is best to remember to move the thermometer to a safe place in the oven if you are baking several things. ...like the bottom floor of the oven.

I purchased this thermometer because Cook's Illustrated recommended it. It works as well as any, I guess. Because it's long instead of tall, it's harder to knock over. The one thing I didn't like is that when I was cleaning it the other day, some of the writing came off. Besides that, it's fine.Customer Review: Not sure it works correctly

I have used this several times now and get different readings depending upon the temperature set on the oven. I can't believe that my GE oven is that far off at 425 degrees, but it's okay at 350 degrees, so I'm blaming the thermometer. I could be wrong, I'll be purchasing another brand of thermometer to further check this out.
